A Dog Helped Orphaned Cheetah Babies

Blakely, a five-year-old Australian shepherd, has recently been given the important job of becoming a surrogate parent for five fluffy little cheetah cubs.

The cubs, three boys and two girls were born at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Gardens in Ohio. Their mom Willow gave birth to them on March 8 via C-section, however, she sadly passed away due to complications following the surgery.

For now, Blakely acts as a warm snuggle buddy for the cubs to climb on, but as they grow bigger he’ll become their teacher and role model.

This is not the first time Blakely has helped raise orphaned animals at the zoo. He previously looked after a cheetah cub named Savannah and a baby takin named Dale. They both grew up strong thanks to his help and care. He’s quite the super-dad!
