Eldredge Tie Knot

Today I want to introduce you a modern looking, cool tie knot which we call Eldredge Tie Knot. This is a quite different style from our classical Winsdor Knot. It can be tied with standard-size ties but it is pretty difficult to tie. According to comments from both men and women, it looks very cool and fit your and it is acceptable in a variety of settings. I have a substantial amount of experience with this knot and I can say without a doubt it is always a success when worn in public.

As I said, this is a difficult knot to tie, not only because there are a lot of steps to go but also because if you make a mistake, you have to untie the whole thing, carry out any adjustments and attempt once more. This knot consumes a lot of fabric since it has many moves. It might be impossible for taller guys to have the tie reach the belt line.

Eldredge Tie Knot Meaning

An Eldredge Knot is a newer knot invented by Jeffery Eldredge in 2007 that has been gaining popularity among tie wearers. It is a big knot that gains a lot of attention for the unusual end result, and can start conversations with just about anyone. It is a difficult knot to tie so don’t worry if you don’t get it the first time. The result is worth it as it helps people remember you compared to others wearing more casual knots and looks awesome. (source: http://www.instructables.com)

The Eldredge knot is intricate, if you tie it with a striped tie the stripes end up shooting in apparently random instructions and make it look rather disorganized. Because of this, I do not recommend stripes. Since the paisley pattern cloaks the complexity of the knot, I do not advise paisley. Although it looks fine, it makes it difficult to discover that the knot itself is a pattern. Solids are optimal since they highlight the natural folds and shadows of the knot. Patterns likewise work.

This knot has many loops and moves to go through and will finally pass through previous steps. You can watch the video below to figure out how this attention grabbing tie can be done:

Although the braid pattern itself is by definition asymmetric, the knot itself winds up making an in proportion triangle shape. That is what makes this knot acceptable for more official affairs than other asymmetric knots.

The Eldredge knot is complex, if you tie it with a striped tie the stripes end up shooting in relatively random directions and make it look rather chaotic. It looks fine, it makes it tough to discover that the knot itself is a pattern. People say this knot is makes you appear desperate for interest. It makes it obvious that you care about how you look, and you took extra time today to make your knot this way. (source: http://agreeordie.com)
